I visited the Czech Republic during my first European solo trip in 2018. This was the last stop before my return to Budapest to fly back to the US after having been in Europe for almost 90 days.

The purpose of my trip was to attend a travel blogger conference, TBEX Europe 2018 Ostrava. I arrived first in Prague for few days before taking the train on to Ostrava.

I was mesmerized by Prague, it was amazing! On my first night, I attended a meet-up put together by Travel Massive for TBEXers. It was nice to meet with some of the conference attendees in advance and get to know some people in a smaller setting. We met at Mánes for some snacks, cocktails and conversation. After the meet-up, I was too fired up to return to my AirBnb, so instead walked around checking out what I could until almost 1:00 am.

The next day, I attended a Pre-TBEX Prague Walking Tour, which was awesome, in addition to getting to know others in a small setting.

On my final night in Prague, I joined two ladies from Australia that I had met in London, while we were being put up for the night during a flight delay. We met for dinner and a tour of the underground chambers of the Old Town Hall.

I took the train from Prague to Ostrava. My first morning, I walked to the meeting point for another Pre-TBEX tour; this one to Štramberk, the Moravian Bethlehem, famous for the Štramberk Ears; and to Nový Jičín, know as the town of hats.

I love the Czech Republic and will absolutely be visiting here again.
